Here we are mid week, and let us recap on our self love journey. Self love is a practice, I need to work on it daily if I want it to be there and to grow. If I want to be able to love others, to feel confident, to know what decisions to make, then I need to practice caring for myself. Step two, self love is showing gratitude for myself and the world. Being appreciative changes my perspective and makes things a little brighter.
Step three, runs in the same direction as the energy, speaking out affirmations. Saying and writing out loud the truth (or what you want to be true), even if you don’t believe it yet, will help it to manifest in your life. This is a reality of adult hood, and of life, that whatever you focus on, whatever you let your mind become consumed with – becomes self fulfilling prophecy and comes true!
–>I am fearless, authentically, beautifully me.
Can you say that while looking at yourself in the mirror? When I first started in on my journey, I had little post it notes all over my house so every where i turned, I could not get away from seeing and being reminded about good things – the truth about myself. Instead of focusing in on the negative, and essentially the lies, I was forced to reckon with this:
- I am whole
- I am enough
- I am healthy
- I have everything I need right now
- everything I am in this moment is enough
- I am loved
Stop and think for a moment about some of the lines you tell yourself? What do you wish to be true? Tell yourself those things instead. Now. In this moment. Don’t wait for tomorrow, they are true now. Maybe the post its will work for you, or writing not he mirror, or maybe journalling. Cards on the fridge or in the car. We hear so many messages every day on the negative side, of how we feel like we aren’t enough or are failing.
But you are beautiful right now. And you are enough right now.
